Challenge
GEWO is a real estate company founded 100 years ago. The task was to develop a concept for a print campaign and as well as for an extraordinary event for the 100th anniversary. It had to be completely different from usual seen anniversary campaigns. In this case the cliché just to show happy families and buildings in brochures etc. were taboo.
Approach
“Do you remember the old times?” This approach ran like a thread through the campaign. Familiar everyday objects from the individual decades raised positive memories. No matter whether light switches, television, phones, toys…the well known items of every decade drew the curiosity of the viewers. Typical wallpaper pattern as background visualized ten decades.
Result
The design concept developed for the campaign continued in other promotional activities later on. It was used for ads, the website, for posters, fairs and outdoor advertising. The campaign attracted great attention and shined due to the eye-catching design. Customers and suppliers were excited wallowing in positive memories of past times.
