Challenge
When Steiff, the originators of the teddy bear, decided to expand activities in China, they already established their business in Japan and in Taiwan. In China, they were not only starting at 0% brand awareness, but also facing the challenge of a fast-moving market, and a consumption habits that seems opposed to the concept of seeing a toy as a companion for life, or even for the next generation.
Approach
As Steiff’s branding and marketing agency in China, we plan and coordinate communication and marketing channels including brand positioning strategy, development of communication materials, market monitoring, and consultation of online and offline distributors to ensure alignment with the brand guidelines
Result
A recent highlight is a cross-branding collaboration that we manage with Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, which already draw attention by millions of net users.
