Upon arrival to Chicago for Confrad’s AGM 2016, visitors will be greeted with a wealth of culinary options. We have taken the time to plan out many of the meals in order to showcase some of the city’s best establishments. One of these restaurants that we will be patronizing is the Chopping Block, located in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart.
There’s no better way to experience Chicago than through food, and some of the best food is created at the Chopping Block. This unique event allows you to act as chef for the evening, cooking your own gourmet meal with the assistance of the Chopping Block staff. The dishes you will create come from different areas of Chicago, including West Town, Greektown, Chinatown, Pilsen, and Little Italy, providing you with a wide range of exposure to Chicago cuisine.
The Chopping Block is also a great way to network with your peers in a more inviting setting, whether it’s while your broccoli is steaming or your pierogis are in the oven. Despite the more relaxed atmosphere, the ingredients you will work with are certainly not compromised.
